Seismic fan-delta sand prediction in the Eastern Nanpu Depression

Abstract:With the rich supply of the northern provenance,large-scale submarine fan deltas were developed in middle-deep strata of the Eastern Nanpu Depression.Therefore this area becomes a hot spot of the hydrocarbon exploration in recent years.In our lithologic research of this area,we use many tools provided by GeoEast.With fine calibrations and stratigraphic comparisons,thigh-fidelity seismic data based on 90 degree phase conversion is used to identify and explain sequence interfaces,and sensitive attributes are optimized to depict target sedimentary facies zones and qualitative predict rich sands.With petro-physical analysis and seismic inversion,favorable reservoirs are predicted.Lithologic traps are quantitatively characterized on well and seismic data.The exploration deployment is proposed based on our comprehensive evaluation.The latter drilled wells in the Eastern Nanpu Depression prove our fan-delta sand prediction and characterization.
