Abstract:In recent years, a few of wide-azimuth and high-density seismic surveys have been carried out in Junggar Basin. This big amont seismic data enriches greatly wavefield information. The wide-azimuth and high-density seismic data acquisition provides a more ideal datasets for prestack anisotropy, prestack inversion, and fracture prediction. The offset vector tile (OVT) domain processing for wide-azimuth and high density datasets achieves good noise suppression and prestack migration because this kind of datasets has better consistency. A novel effective way for reservoir prediction and fracture identification is provided as OVT gathers have rich and important offset azimuth information and prestack data contains abundant geological information. Taking the Mahu1 high-density 3D survey as an example, this paper introduces data processing for OVT, anisotropy correction, prestack inversion, and fracture prediction with the OVT domain gathers. Our application results show that the OVT domain gathers can improve both the reliability and the accuracy of fracture prediction.
