Abstract:Double-focus algorithm simulates two processes of 3一D wavefield response:one is forward process of 3-D wavefield,the other is the process of prestack migration of 3-D wavefield,so that the key of double-focus algorithm is extrapolation of wavefield.Different extrapolation methods are used for the models in different media:the direct extrapolation is suitable for the model in the simplest homogeneous model;the recursive method layer by layer in large step is suitable for the model in layered homogeneous medium; the 3-D grid recursive method in small step is suitable for the model in complex medium. The practical application showed that the prediction of double-focus imaging spatial resolution and illuminating power for complex geologic targets plays an important role in optimum design of 3一D geometry and in improvement of seismic imaging quality. Considering a great mount of computational efforts in forward and inversive recursive computation of 3-D wavefield,we suggest that software development of double-focus algorithm in complex media should be carried out in parallel computer with multiple nodes.
