Abstract:There are a few difficulties in the converted-wave data processing. GeoEast System provides a full range of tools for the multi-wave processing. Therefore we choose some approaches to the converted-wave data processing. First converted-wave data quality is greatly improved by integrated converted-wave statics. Then P-wave-to-S-wave velocity ratios is obtained by the horizon matching based on well-controlled P-wave and converted-wave, and PP-and PS-wave horizon matching is precisely achieved. After that, a reasonable migration para-meter field is built by four-parameter velocity modeling in converted-wave prestack time migration. At last, the migration results are enhanced by the analysis and correction of shear-wave split. Our application results show that the approaches we use can meet requirements in the converted-wave processing and the result can provide much new geological information.
