Abstract:At present,the multi-wave multi-component seismic exploration has achieved some success in fracture detection and clastic rock lithology description,but it faces still great challenges in the gas-bearing detection,especially deep carbonate reservoirs.Gas-bearing targets in the Central Sichuan Basin are dolomite gas reservoirs in Lower Permian Qixia Formation.High-quality multi-wave seismic datasets are obtained by the processing with multi-wave processing tools provided by GeoEast System.After P-and PS-wave matching,the differences between P-and PS-wave amplitudes of high-production gas wells,low-production gas wells,and other gas wells are compared,and multi-wave forward modeling are carried out.It is clearly understood that high-yield gas beds of Qixia Formation are characterized by strong P-wave reflection and weaker PS-wave reflection.Then the amplitude ratio attributes between P-and PS-waves are extracted to predict gas contents.This amplitude ratio attribute is good indicator of gas detection based on the comparison of gas-production wells,which provides a quick and reliable gas detection tool.
