3D prestack reverse time migration based on multiple-GPU collaboration

Abstract:Data size of single seismic shot record is much larger than before as high-precision seismic exploration is increasingly demanded.The 3D RTM computing strategy formerly developed based on single GPU card meets no longer the needs of larger-scale seismic data processing. We illustrate here a new 3D RTM method based on multipleGPU collaboration with imaging domain decomposition strategy.This method can meet 3D RTM calculation of any current industrial-scale single shot record.Tests on seismic data of western China show that the method has higher imaging precision and good computational efficiency.
