Abstract:After finding commercial oil and gas flow with high production in Es4 member in the depth of 2500~3000m at discovery well WX 119 in Nov.,1998 in Wangjiagang area,Shengli Oil-field,how to further determine distributing scope and spatial thickness variation of oil-bearing sand body is the key to further appreciating and developing the reservoir. On the basis of 4 wells only having in the studying area, using 3-D seismic inversion based on sparse pulse of traces to determine the scope of distribution and thickness variation of oil-bearing sand body. The 3 appraisal wells and an exploratory well have been successfully deployed, which obtained commercial petroleum flow with high production.Later on,according to comparison with wave-impedance feature of known oil-bearing sand body, drilling in high-impedance area without drilling activity before has been carried out in order to enlarge continuously the oil-bearing scope. The number of drillings reached 30,among which two were failure. In order to further clarify the distributing scope of oil-bearing sand body,we used 3-D seismic inversion based on geologic model to predict the distribution of drilled oil-bearing strata, analyzed the reasons of failad wells and provided again new drilling targets and favorable geologic bases for deployment of development well.
