Abstract:Conventional seismic exploration is built up on the basis of isotropic theory and reflection moveout curves are generally approximated by hyperbolic moveout equation that is strictly valid for short spreads in homogeneous isotropic or elliptical1y anisotropic media. Many studied results find out that existence of anisotropy may seriously affect on many basic processing flow and precision of interpretation. In the paper,we studied approximate calculation formula of P-wave and SV-wave reflection travel-time for short, middle and long spreads in transversely isotropic medium respectively that provided a rapid and effective method for estimation of travel- time. The time distance curves of travel-time obtained by numerical calculation howed the feature of the curves and effectiveness and feasibility of the calculation method. It has an important meaning for elastic parameters inversion in anisotropic media, migrated imaging and precise interpretation of seismic data.
