The all-time apparent resistivity bisearch numerical algorithm based on long offset transient electromagnetic method

Abstract:The rule of induced electromotive force curve with resistivity change in long offset transient electromagnetic method was studied and analyzed in this paper,it is understood that at any moment the increase of the induced electromotive force with resistivity shows a piecewise monotone feature. Based on the feature the bisearch numerical algorithm which calculates all-time apparent resistivity was designed in this paper. By utilizing induced electromotive force data the algorithm directly calculates apparent resistivity values at different moments,The calculation for theoretical data shows that the algorithm is very accurate,its relative error is less than 0.1 percent,the basic idea,detailed steps and exact flowchart for the bisearch numerical algorithm were introduced in this paper.
