Controlling factor and concentration rule of Neogene reservoir genesis in Chepaizi area of Jungar basin

Abstract:Neogene Shawan Formation(N1s) reservoir in Chepaizi area is characterized by shallow buried depth and high exploration effect,but the rule of reservoir genesis has been unknown until now,which places restrictions on process of exploration and development to a certain degree.The paper discussed the controlling factor and concentration rule of N1s reservoir genesis from structure,sedimentation and fault and resulted in following knowledge: ①low-amplitude nose-like structure dominantly controls the concentration and distribution of oil/gas under the background of monocline structure;②beach bar sand body with lakeshore facies is most favorable container rock of shallow reservoir and N1s 3 is most important exploration formation of N1s;③normal fault plays an important role in connecting oil/gas to reservoir,the upthrow of nor-mal fault easily forms effective seal-off and reser-voir is generated.
