Abstract:The existing methods for converted-wave DMO in frequency-wavenumber domain have quite big kinematic errors due to approximate two-order truncation errors. In order to improve converted-wave DMO,we advance a new P-SV wave DMO method in frequency-wavenumber domain which is based on inclination decomposition. This new method eliminates error resulting from two-order approximation and avoids sohving a higher degree equation. It is more convenient,effective and accurate than the existing converted-wave DMO methods in frequency-wavenumber domain.Theoretical modeling result indicates that the inclination-decomposition DMO method is a desirable converted-wave DMO method.
