Abstract:Having analysed the relation between compressional wave (or shear wave) velocity and fluid saturation in Daqing sandstone sample,we came to the conclusion that under high frequency condition,fluid content in sandstone sample nearly has nothing to do with shear wave velocity;but it affects obviously compressional wave velocity,which may result in minimum wave velocity at a saturation.Above conclusion was checked by using an improved three-phase medium model which has many small encysted gas balls inside. It was also found that both unifortuity of fluid in medium and wave frequency influence the curve which shows relation between wave velocity and fluid saturation. Numerical modeling result coincides with laboratorial one rather desirably.
