Abstract:Gravity anomaly mainly consists of regional field anomaly,sedimentary rock anomaly and basement lithologic anomaly. The regional field anomaly can be computed by using landform correlation method;the sedimentary rock anomaly is peeled off by adopting seismic density interface model and array cuboid model;and it may be deemed that residual gravity anomaly results from basement lithology variation. Having made linear inversion of residual field,where linear equations are solved by doing singular value decomposition,one can obtain basement density data. Then the basement density data are interpreted in detail by comprehensively analysing aeromagnetic,MT and geologic data. The basement structure of Y basin has been interpreted quite reasonably.
