Abstract:In recent years,multiwave and multicomponent seismic explorations have been tested in oil fields to counter the difficulties encounted in continental-facies thin interbedding exploration of Songliao basin. A series of methods for data acquisition,processing and interpretation of multiwave and multicomponent seismic explorations have been probed successfully. In consideration of incident critical angles of P- and S-waves,maximum and minimum offsets are derived to determine the field observation system. In data processing,plane-wave theory and wave polarization projection in r-p domain and anisotropic medium are used to separate P-wave from SV-wave;due to non-symmetry of its raypath,the time-distance curve of converted-SV wave is derived from common conversion-point trace gathers,thus obtaining the final stack section of converted wave. In interpretation,the waveform should be correctly identified and horizon marked,then various physical parameters will be estimated precisely. Better results have been obtained in reservoir prediction,physical parameter interpretation and hydrocarbon detection.
