Abstract:The multiple is a common noise wave in marine or land seismic data processing. In this paper the authors reviewed the history in application of the predictive deconvlution to remove multiples and test analysis for field seismic data processing. Regarding the short spread, low signal-noise-ratio and strong long-period multiple for land seismic data in A block in Iran and short-period multiple existing in shallow muting zone for shallow offshore seismic data in P block in Persian Gulf, different predictive steps were applied in deconvolution processing for normal moveout corrected CMP (Common Mid-Point) gathers and stacked seismic data, as a result the multiples can be successfully suppressed and the case studies shows that routine seismic data processing technique can still solve some difficult problems in seismic data processing and the case is just a successful example.
