Abstract:The theory of optimized array filtering is advanced to cope with the multichannel seismic data which include effective wave and coherent noise.Array filtering is applied to multichannel seismic data,so that coherent noise is suppressed as much as possible while effective wave is preserved very well.In this filtering,noise elimination is achieved by optimization process instead of wave mixing process,so that coherent noise is suppressed to raise signal/noise ratio,without resolution damaged.High-resolution noise suppression is analysed theoretically and practically.It is shown that the optimized array filtering can achieve good resolution and high signal/noise ratio of both stacked seismic section and prestack seismic gathers.
