Abstract:VSP-like three-component observations conducted simultaneously in boreholes and on surface of the borehole area may be said to be cubical seismic exploration, which can be used to solve many geologic problems in hydrocarbon field development. Its principle, observation system, data processing and data interpretation are described in detail. This method can be introduced to offer many informations:velocity, modulus of elasticity,Poisson's ratio, Lame constants, stress reflection coefficient,absorption factor and so on. In addition,by analysing the dynamic&kinematicparameters of wave field, and their relation which vary with time, people can predict many problems in hydrocarbon development so as to adjust development scheme in times.
