CNPC geophysical technology application status and prospects

Abstract:Technical research in high-steep structure,carbonate,low permeability reservoir,volcanic rocks and other complicated exploration objects in CNPC for the past 5 years was systematically summarized in this paper. The application effects,technological applicability and future development direction for a series of integrated,popularized and applied new geophysical techniques in CNPC,such as high density,full digital,frequency expanding processing,old and new seismic data integrated processing,pre-stack depth migration,pre-stack reservoir prediction,hydrocarbon detection,detailed delineation of carbonate solution void,and multi wave seismic and so on,were analyzed in this paper.At the same time by systematically analyzing the demands required by future exploration development in CNPC,the task and development strategy which includes the 3 technical series of Oil Gas exploration geophysics,reservoir exploration geophysics and natural gas exploration geophysics for CNPC were proposed in this paper,which revealed a bright future for the application of the geophysical technology in CNPC.
