Abstract:The design of 3一D field geometry involves many parameters,such as spatial sampling interval,maximum offset, limit broadside distance, line length and so on, In approximate spherical wave condition,the spatial sampling interval is related to both the strataA dip cp in sampling direction and the incidence angle 8 of seismic wave.The will be no alias in 3-D field data when the time sampling interval satisfies sampling theorem, and the spatial sampling interval D is defined as 4fm sin(cp+8).The maximum offset is limited by not only the energy partition on reflectors put also the first arrival interferenceand the stretchirg distortion due to NMO correction,Broadside observation error may result from different apparent strato dips on different source一receiver directions for each broadside distance.Bigger strata did and bigger broadside distance cause higher observation error, The broadside distance corresponding to the limit observation error is called limit broadside distance.In order to ascertain a dome, we must use the line whose length is at least equal to the sum of dome range and the necessary extensions on both sides of the dome.
