Abstract:Complex overthrust structure has gradually become the important field of oil/gas exploration in Tarim basin.Completing variable-velocity mapping technique and improving the structural mapping precision are the keys clarifying such kind of traps.On the basis of fully studying the difficulties of objective area,the paper presented a set of new variable-velocity mapping technique suitable for shallow velocity model-building,model-building in complex overthrust area,tomographic velocity field building of model and jointing logging to seismic to build up velocity field.It is shown by applied results in Kuche mountains of Tarim basin that these new techniques achieved good results.
