Abstract:Although oil fields in East China are usually considered as mature oil zones with quite dense exploration, existing 3D seismic data can hardly meet the requirements for complex target exploration. In order to improve the data quality for complex target exploration in oil-rich depressions, we propose in this paper a 2.5 times' 3D seismic survey approach. Based on previous 3D data, a 3D survey with target-oriented geometry design is put forward. Here target-oriented means "wide azimuth jointed, aspect ratio enlarged, sampling points infill, and source-receiver reciprocity" to realize full azimuth, high density, and even sampling acquisition, and multiphase seismic data integration processing. This approach solves equipment lack, difficult operation, and high cost with full azimuth and high density seismic acquisition in East China. At present, the proposed approach has been widely applied in Central Hebei, and has provided oil companies with high quality seismic data for their exploration and productions.
