Abstract:Far-field signatures of air-gun arrays are widely used for seabed resource exploration because of their good seismic properties. We establish in the paper a new bubble dynamics model based on previous studies. Given a gun working pressure and a working volume, far-field pressure wavelets can be calculated by adding simplified thermodynamic methods to the above model. In order to simulate planar air-gun array, Ziolkowski air-gun array model has been revised and simplified. Numerical simulation results of the proposed approach meet well that of Nucleus software simulation. Finally, to optimize planar air-gun array, we combine the proposed model with particle swarm optimization. It is found that the primary/bubble amplitude ratio will increase when the total volume has little change. Our work on far-field signatures of air-gun array provides some references for the future research of air-gun array.
