Abstract:Walkaway VSP is a bore-hole seismic technique in which all the shots are shot with different offsets and all the receivers are mounted in the bore-hole.Based on the Walkaway VSP data acquisition and processing for Gushen-2 well in Songliao Basin in Daqing Oil-field,the geometry design,data acquisition and data processing in the technique were studied in this paper.By improving traditional migration imaging technique,the routine migration aperture was converted into the illumination range in the bore-hole for the VSP survey.The study results show the following:(1) Designing multiple row shot point shooting and uplifting the geometry for the receivers in the bore-hole could compensate the insufficient receiver levels,so as to expand observing distance in the borehole;(2) For different trace gathers,using different methods to separate the wave fields and eliminate the noise,so as to obtain purer up-going wave field;(3) Application of the improved wave field extrapolation wave equation migration imaging method could obtain better imaging results for the reflection datasets.
