Abstract：Marine controlled source electromagnetic (MCSEM) can detect directly hydrocarbon reservoirs with high resistivity. To get reservoir characteristics, we put forward in this paper a joint inversion of 1D marine controlled source electromagnetic with seismic data. We first establish the relationship between reservoir parameter based on Archie's equation and Gassmann's equations, and then introduce the relationship into the objective function for joint inversion of 1D MCSEM with seismic data using a cooperative algorithm based on simulated annealing and particle swarm optimization. This inversion can directly obtain reservoir porosity and saturation. Tests on model data show that the proposed inversion can achieve good results without dependence of initial value.
