Abstract:The phase angle of the seismic reflection coefficient is one of the important attributes for the seismic reflection wave,It plays an important role in seismic data inversion.Based on the Zoeppritz equation, the reflection coefficient phase angle curve was mapped through calculation example, and the characteristics of the reflection coefficient phase angle varying with the incidence angle was analyzed in this paper. If the incidence angle is less than the critical angle, the sudden change for the phase angle may exist for the reflection coefficients of P-wave and S-wave,polarity reversal may developed, the location of the sudden change depends on the parameters of the strata. When wide angle reflection happens for the seismic wave, the reflection coefficient phase angle gradually decreases with the increase of the incidence angle, varying between.
