Abstract:We propose in this paper a new robust denoise edge detection method based on high-dimensional wavelet transform. Firstly, we transform 3D seismic data into complex seismic traces with Hilbert transform, and extract instantaneous attribute of phase cosine. Then, using high-dimensional wavelet transform as a novel tool, we transform phase cosine data into a high dimensional space including six parameters, such as three-dimensional coordinates, dip angle, azimuth angle and scale. Finally, fixing the dip angle and the scale, scanning dip and azimuth angles, we obtain the discontinuity of high S/N ratio at each point. This method can effectively suppress pseudo boundary information caused by discontinuity among tilted strata. Synthetic and real data results show that the proposed method can better depict stratigraphic edge such as tiny faults and small channels than C3 algorithm.
