Abstract:On the basis of previous studies, we modify the kinematic and dynamic ray tracing systems and present an approximation of the coefficients to simplify the dynamic ray tracing system. Then, an anisotropic common-shot prestack Gaussian beam migration in terms of phase velocity is implemented. Furthermore, we analyze effects of anisotropic parameters on this proposed method through flat layer model. Model test results show not only the accurate velocity but also anisotropic parameters are indispensable for migration in anisotropic media thus they are the key to achieve high quality anisotropic migration. Finally, test results on 2D Hess model in VTI media has verified the effectiveness of the proposed method in obtaining accurate images of the complex anisotropic media. Besides, it is also more efficient and adaptable in comparison with conventional methods based on elastic parameters, which indicates its suitability for real seismic data processing.
