Reservoir fracturing volume estimation with micro-seismic monitoring data

Abstract:The accurate calculation of fracturing volume contributes to the evaluation of fracturing effect and the next deployment scheme.However it is difficult to accurately calculate the fracturing volume because of irregular boundaries of micro-seismic event points.On the basis of previous studies,we choose the Alpha-shape method based on Delaunay triangulation to develop a reservoir fracturing vo-lume estimation method based on micro-seismic monitoring data.At the same time,the algorithm is programmed.This method was used to calculate the fracturing volume of different types of reservoir,including the sand-conglomerate body,mud shale and tight sandstone.The results show that the method has good stability and good applicability,so it can be used to evaluate the fracturing vo-lume of different types of reservoir.
