Abstract:Well logging data interpretation confirms Karst reservoirs developed below the unconformity of Maokou Formation in the Central Sichuan Basin,thickness around 100m.A large number of Karst saddles are found on 3D seismic data.Both of them demonstrate the presence of strong karstification at Maokou Formation in the Central Sichuan.These Karst reservoirs show weak amplitude at the top of Maokou Formation as seismic characteristics.Favorable Karst reservoir zones are controled by paleochannel in the GM area.Water energy was high at the both sides of paleochannels,and the karstification was rapid and strong,so Karst reservoirs were well developed.In the Central Sichuan Basin hydrocarbon source rocks were thick and distributed widely,Karst reservoirs were developed,and large-scale Karst lithologic gas reservoirs could be formed.
