Abstract:Shallow water tow-streamer seismic data are characterized by linear guided wave, direct wave, refraction wave, air-gun ghost, multiples, and gas cloud, which not only results in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) data, but also destroys rough seabed imaging. We use a set of techniques provided by GeoEast in order to solve the mentioned problems. The anti-aliasing prestack interpolation linear noise attenuation is applied to suppress linear noise. Air-gun ghost is removed by the de-ghosting. Integrated multiple attenuation (EPSI sparse inversion, SRME, and Tau-P deconvolution) can eliminate different types of multiples. Finally, Fresnel tomography inversion depicts accurately complex seabed near-surface structures. Field data processing applications show that the proposed techniques provided by GeoEast can properly process shallow water tow-streamer seismic data.
