Abstract:Jiuquan Basin undergoes multi-stage tectonic activities, and its fault system is complex, so it is difficult to determine exploration targets and to carry out fine fault description. It is very difficult to predict reservoirs due to different source materials, rapid change of sedimentary facies and various types of reservoirs. With GeoEast interpretation sub-system, we conduct a comprehensive analysis in Cretaceous reservoirs of Yaerxia in Qinxi Sag, Jiuquan Basin. Using structure-oriented filter, coherence and curvature attribute analysis, we identify the complex fault block K1g1 in Changshaling, Ying'er Sag. With coherence and curvature analysis based on duplicated filters, we identify Palaeogene minor faults in Yaerxia and determine the Palaeogene fault development system. With the help of GeoEast interpretation sub-system, the integrated geology studies in Jiuquan Basin have made great progress and some new discoveries of the oil and gas exploration have been achieved.
