Abstract:In the marine streamer dual-sensor survey,the ghost in seismic data should be suppressed.Usually dual-sensor records are transformed to the f-k domain,and the wave field separation is used to obtain up-and down-wavefield,hydrophone and geophone signals are separately processed,and then combined.In this way,the ghost is suppressed and primaries are enhanced.However,all this is based on the assumption that sea surface is smooth and receivers are uniformly distributed.But usually this is not true in practice,so the ghost is not well suppressed.For this purpose,we propose a dual-sensor signal wavefield separation trace by trace in the time-space domain under undulating sea surface.We discuss in this paper the objective optimization with non-Gaussianity maximum to achieve the wavefield separation.Real seismic data application shows that the proposed approach can better suppress the ghost,improve seismic data signal-to-noise ratio,and broaden the frequency band compared with conventional methods.
