Preserved-amplitude denoising for seismic resolution improvement: an example of Jiandingshan Area in Qaidam Basin

Abstract:Bedrock reservoirs in the Jiandingshan Area,Qaidam Basin are characterized by double reservoir spaces (pore & fracture).In order to better track Jurassic strata and accurately identify bedrock lithologic traps in the area,a number of methods provided by GeoEast System are used to process seismic data such as preserved-amplitude denoi-sing,prestack noise removal,amplitude compensation,deconvolution,surface-consistent residual static corrections,and prestack time migration imaging.These tools improve effectively seismic resolution and imaging.Structures and fault systems in the Jiandingshan Area are understood,and the spatial distribution of the Jurassic period is identified,which provides a solid foundation for the future exploration,development,and production.
