Abstract:Prestack AVO inversion plays an important role in the lithology prediction and fluid detection.However this inversion result depends on the pre-stack gather quality.There are usually some problems on prestack gathers:strong noise,different wavelet shapes at different offsets,unequal events after conventional processing.Due to these problems,prestack gathers cannot reveal true AVO characteristics of strata.Therefore,the prestack gathers should be conditioned further to meet AVO inversion and reservoir prediction.In our research,a few methods for prestack gather conditioning are chosen and used in seismic data based on previous studies and our analysis.This paper demonstrates 3D seismic examples in the Block H,Sichuan Basin.Results show that our research achieves better AVO inversions and better shale gas predictions.
