Application of broadband,wide-azimuth,and high-density 3D seismic exploration

Abstract:Broadband,wide-azimuth,and high-density (BWH) 3D seismic acquisition is increasingly used worldwide because this novel approach can records much more abundant wavefield and low frequency information with less aliasing.With this kind of information,it is helpful for stratigraphic anisotropy study and thin inter-bed reservoirs identification.Based on BWH 3D seismic data,we first analyze characteristics of wavefield,SNR,and frequency band,and then put forward a processing workflow of BWH 3D seismic data.Finally,we achieve successfully hydrocarbon reservoir characterization,which shows the superiority of BWH 3D seismic data.
