Abstract:In this paper,we present a joint inversion method for borehole magnetic three-component data. Objective function of the joint inversion for borehole magnetic three-component data is established based on least square principle, and generalized linear inversion with damped factor is used to calculate figure and size of vertical cubes.5 theoretical models are calculated.Whether the cube is besides the borehole or beneath the borehole and whether the information is enough or not,the joint inversion obtains better results than single component inversion. The internal reason may be that geomagnetic field is a vector field, and the joint inversion of three-component data can make full use of the vector field information. So the sensitivity for unknown factors is improved. The method isused for borehole three-component magnetic data in Xinjiang, and the cube position besides boreholes and its downward extension are obtained.
