Minor fault identification in Donghe sandstone reservoirs,Hadson Oilfield

Abstract:Donghe sandstone reservoirs in Hadson Oilfield,Tarim Basin are characterized by deep burying and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) seismic data,which leads great difficulties for minor fault identification.To solve the problems,we try to improve minor fault identification with key modules provided by GeoEast.A.The band-pass filtering and structure-guided filtering are adopted as interpretive processing to obtain new data volume for minor faults investigation,which can also improve data SNR; B.Based on the new data volume,minor faults are identified and depicted by amplitude-curvature and edge detection; C.Based on the results,the edge-protection filtering is used to improve both the fault center focus and the minor fault lateral resolution.Our minor fault identification can broaden understanding of geological and fluid characteristics in Donghe sandstone reservoirs and provide an excellent basis for the future development deployment.
