Abstract:The paper presents a seismic data processing approach associated with simulated over/under source and over/under towed-streamer acquisition, which is a merging processing technique for the data acquired with different source depth and towed-streamer depth. Stacks merge high frequency data acquired in shallow streamers with low frequency data acquired in deep streamers. This data merging can not only suppress ghosts and broaden frequency band, but also improve data quality. We have simulated seismic data acquired by over/under source and over/under towed-streamer based on test data with different source depth and towed-streamer depth, and processed the simulated seismic data. The processing result proves the validity of the proposed approach.
