Abstract:The Tenere block and southern Agadem block are adjacent structural units belonging to Termit basin, the reservoir combination similar to southern Agadem block has been not found in Saha1 well drilled in Tenere,on the contrary, the oil/gas show has been seen in thin sand interbedding of Middle Cretaceous larger set of dense marine facies shale in lower part. Therefore, the selection of next exploration direction in the region is Key of the study.Starting from the regional geologic background of the area, the paper developed structural, tectonic and sedimentary evolution analysis, presented the reservoir mode of "younger source rock, older reservoir" and pointed out that the lower II reservoir combination taking the Lower Cretaceous as objective reservoir is the main direction of next oil/gas exploration in Tenere block.
