Abstract:Cross-hole seismic waveform tomography is very complicated non-linear inversion problem.The results of conventional linear inversion method depends on selection of initial model and easily falls into 1oca1 minimum;unsatisfied results are obtamed from conventional linear inversion for complex model and model of big disturbance. The paper presented a tomographic method for cross-hole seismic waveform by wavelet in a mufti-scale.Numeric model test showed that the inversion method for wavelet transform in a mufti-scale can greatly improve inversion and has a prominent imaging effect;meanwhile,the method can also provide inversion images in a different resolution,which are of benefit to image interpretation.
