Abstract:Theoretical reflection seismograms in dynamite source condition are formed by using anisotropic reflectivity method. By comparing them with the reflection seismograms in isotropic medium, authors analyse how characters of three-component body wave record are affected by horizontal lamination anisotropy and fracture anisotropy. It is shown that fracture anisotropy results in splitting of converted shear wave and brings wave in transverse component record. Both splitting of converted shear wave and directionality of fast wave polarization can hardly be modeled by isotropy and horizontal transverse isotropic propagation. We can say then that the continuous converted shear wave appearing in transverse component of threecomponent reflection records in dynamite source condition is an important indication for knowing azimuthal anisotropy of medium.
