Abstract:Seismic data in different frequency bands have different signal jnoise ratios,and there is good correlation between waveforms or energies of corresponding useful reflections on adjacent traces. In view of above fact,simultaneous multitrace wave impedance inversion is achieved by using wavelet transform characteristics.To speak in detail,in iteration process,we finish reasonable wavelet decomposition of residual traces resulting from real and synthetic seismograms to form the frequency-division wavelet section of residual traces;then,with the use of K-L trans- form,the coherent contents of frequency-division section are taken to estimate wave impedance variations,thus preventing noise from joining in the estimation of wave impedance variations. Theoretical model and real example are given to prove the inversion method stable and widely applicable.
