Abstract:The migration of electromagnetic wave field involves both analysing the upgoing waves of observed electromagnetic wave field and recovering the correct locations of exciting sources by inverse propagation We can make the migrated electromagnetic wave field recover phase property of reflection wave field inside the earth on condition that the phase of downgoing migrated wave field and the phase of the original upgoing wave field are equal at medium interface The problem we discuss is based on plane wave excitation Of course,the method may also be applied to problem relating to usual seismic vibrator on surface.Applying finite difference to migration can locate resistivity anomaly and show the relative magnitude of the resistivity anomaly Theoretical result proves the method very effective.
