Abstract:Sufficient control points for static correction are needed to improve the accuracy of field static correction in complicated terrain area. The control points are usually chosen by doing microlog or common LVL refraction. However,to drill quite deep hole for microlog in desert area is very troublesome,and the general LVL refraction is done on the condition that ground surface and refractor are horizontal.The condition can hardly be met in desert or hilly area. I put forward a new LVL refraction method that is conducted in the case of undulate terrain and dipping refractor. The theoretical computation and field practice show good effect.
