Abstract:A new method for prestack noise reduction is developed to improve the processing effect of the seismic data whose signal/noise ratio is low.In this method,the(ω-x)-domain prediction operator for low frequency band(or high frequency band)is estimated by extrapolating the noise reduction operator of the mid frequency band whose signal/noise ratio is relative high.In other words,we use(ω-x)-domain operator of mid frequency band to obtain the prediction operator for low frequency band through forward prediction along frequency axis,and to estimate the prediction operator for high frequency band'througly backward prediction.Theoretical and real data results prove that(ω-x)-domain operator extrapolation brings obviously-improved noise reduction.
