Abstract:Inhomogeneous buried-hill limestone reservoir is characterized by attractive opening-fracture zone. The petrophysical property of limestone reservoir mainly depends an the density of openings and fractures, and only has something to do with fluid content in it. The distribution of opening-fracture zones in a limestone reservoir is predicted by two seismic methods. The first method predicts the distribution by using reflection amplitudes and seismic time slices, and the second one by calculating the relative variations of same parameters in the reservoir extent, such as average absorption, reflection amplitudes and so an. The prediction result coincides with drilling data quite well, and leads to the discovery of some indistinct micro faults in seismic section, which have been proved by drilling. The above methods were developed on interpretation workstation. They increase the functions of the workstation and act as new methods far extracting and comprehensively analysing various seismic informations an the workstation.
