Abstract:Various VSP wave fields generated by different observe Lion ways,different wave field separation methods and corresponding parameter selection si}ills are detailed in this paper,The apexes of time-distance curves of upgoing anct downgoing waves in W VSP data are on τ axes;the equations of upgoing and downgoing waves around geophone depth are similar;and the time-distance curves are nearly coincident.Direct wave in up-away VSP rata record may show not only quite high curvature but also its apex in the effective reeord segment,The time-depth curve of upgoing wave in up-to VIP data shows high curvature in effective record segment,Different formations result in different cur-nature variations,Different processing methods are used to process different wave fields generated by different observation ways,Correction transform wave field separation method is used to process up-away VSP data and up-to VSP data; it achieves wave field separation by first correcting and transforming non-linear wave field into linear wave field,then separating the needed part from the transformed wave field,Real data processing has proved that this methad is efficient,The analysis of relatian between median filtering span and waves to be suppressed leads to a farmula for quantitative selecting the span in the case of high S/N ratio,The formula for zero-offset VSP data is also recommended.
