Abstract:A given seismic wave field can be described using different kinds of seismic wavelets. These wavelets originate from the same physical essential; therefore, they are interconvertible whether they are velocty type wavelet, acceleration type wavelet, or stress type wavelet. The function of geophone is to detect seismic waves; generally speaking, its design is based on the principle that the output voltage is approximately linear with a physical parameter describing wave field law. There must be an internal link among the same wave-field records which were obtained using moving-coil geophone, eddy current seismometer and piezoeiectric detector respectively; therefore, the interconversion of these seismic, records can by achieved, by derivation or integration, to get their consistence. In operation, the piezoelectric detector must be placed in water. Sine band一pass filtering effect usually occurs because of the stacking of water-surface reflections. This effect varies with the depth of hydrophone; therefore, the seismic wavelets detected are different from each other, Deconvolution technique can convert raw seismic record into pure upgoing-wave record. Further processing the seisic data by the wavelets extracted from the converted record may bring an improved seismic resolution.
