Abstract:Dip moveout (DMO) correction technique creates quite good result in processing the seismic data collected from the area where gical structure is complex. However, DMO techniques in time geolodomain and F-K domain still can not be widely used at present because they take too much time or computer resource. Now we only use the simple fasy DMO method in the data processing. Most sedimentary basins in China are covered with sand and mud sediments in which seismic velocity is linear with depth. Furthermore, in the aria where faults and structures are complex, we often have multiple stacking-velocity value problem, which can not be ideally sowed using fast DMO, time-domain DMO and F-K domain DMO methods. The time-variant dip mov}out (TVDMO) technique applying to the case where seismic velocity is linear with depth is put forward on the basis of imaging principle in curve ray migration. TVDMO technique is essentially a modified time-domain DMO technique. The modification is only to multiply time-domain DMO migration velocities corresponding K factors less than 1. This paper also demonstrates step simplified DMO processing flow which has neither NMO correction nor inverse NMO correction step.
