Abstract:Only 3-D seismic data acquisition and 3-D prestack migration techniques can be used to well locate fault blocks and faults in multiple-reservoir area in the east part of China.In view of the fact that the prestaek migration takes too much calculation,the use of 3-D DMO technique is mare appropriate.It is theoretically shown that in timespace domain,3-D DMO operator is equivalent to 2-D DMO operator.3-D DMO can be easy performed in CMP domain.The way is as follows: the data in each CMP bin are migrated into nearby relevant bins with the use of 2-D DMO algorithm according to the corresponding source-receiver directions,that is to say,prestack partial migration with integral method can be achieved using poststack migration(zero-offset migration),where the velocity for migration is medium or x/TN in the constant-velocity homogeneous medium or kx/TN in the medium in which the velocity varies with depth;finally,the summation of common offset data in each bin brings the result of the DMO correction.This kind of DMO correction can be performed before or after NMO correction.In the light of curve ray principle,the coefficient k of migration velocity used in time variant dip moveout (TVDMO) correction before NMO correction is theoretically deduced to get the polynomial fitted empiric formula,thus perfecting the TVDMO technique
